Connecting people to God and each other.
Connect Groups are a vital part of church life at Church180. Connect Groups exist because we love to connect people to God and to each other. We believe that through connecting, people will find a place where they belong and can call home.
Connect Groups reflect our Church180 values in that we are giving you opportunities to grow in a REAL relationship with God while building authentic RELATIONSHIPS with each other in a context that is RELEVANT to you and your life. Our groups include Lounge Groups and Interest Groups and are based around the three essential elements of: Care, Prayer and Share.
Lounge Groups:
Our Lounge Groups meet at least fortnightly in homes around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. These groups of people build friendships as they discuss the Sunday sermon in the context of how they can apply the biblical principles to everyday living. There will also be an opportunity to pray for each other’s needs. We have Lounge Groups for a variety of age groups, singles, young married couples, married couples and retired couples.
Interest Groups:
We have a great variety of Interest Groups which meet at least fortnightly around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. These groups build friendships through participating in fun activities that are of common interest. Through these relationships, people have the opportunity to share what God is doing in their life and to pray for each other’s needs.
Our Interest Groups Include:

- Dinner Club
- Tennis
- Creative Arts
- Fishing
- Walking

Connect Care:
In each Lounge or Interest Group there is a Chaplain or Leader who will ensure that you are given opportunities for prayer and will facilitate care of any needs that may arise (this may be in conjunction with our Pastoral Care team).
